Adobe & SVG future?

I am surprised to still see an SVG forum in here since Adobe acquired Flash and dropped development of the SVG control.

I have two questions -

Is the Adobe SVG plug-in still considered the best one for Internet Explorer or should I be directing visitors to something else or Firefox? Does the existing SVG plug-in work with newer versions of IE?

Also, is IE really the only browser that still doesn't support SVG?

Thanks,
Eric

The FireFox implementation of SVG is superior to the Adobe implementation - its also stricter so you may find that some things don't work initially in FireFox. That said, as far as I am aware that Adobe plugin is still the best available for IE.

Personally, I would recommend that you either encourage your visitors to use FireFox or (better) migrate to using Flash instead as that way you won't need to worry about which browser your visitor is using.
